Start AuthInfo2 requests now directly on our website

Since December 2020 our customers have the possibility to start AuthInfo2 orders directly on our website.

There can be many reasons why a normal authcode for the transfer of a .de domain is not available:

• The provider or registrar no longer exists.
• The provider or registrar does not respond to requests.
• The corresponding domain has been deleted at the old provider or registrar and the latter has no possibility to restore the domain.

In these cases, an AuthInfo2 request can be triggered for .de domains. The registry for .de domains, DENIC, sends the AuthInfo2 code to the registrant by registered mail. The code will be sent to the registrant's address stored at DENIC. It is not possible to send the code to any other address. If the holder does not have a German address, delivery will be made to the Admin-C.

Authorized to start the AuthInfo2 order are the domain owner or a service provider commissioned for this purpose.
