Domain Registration for Individuals within the EU- Admin-C must be from Hungary. If not, trustee service is available.
- The owner's ID number or passport number is required.
- A copy of the owner's ID/passport is required.
- The full first and last name of the owner is required. Abbreviations are not allowed.
- After submitting the forms, the registry will review them, and the process will be completed within 8 days.
- A PDF form will be generated, which must be signed by the owner. Additionally, there is a "Declaration Form," where two witnesses confirm with their signatures and their own ID/passport numbers that the owner signed the document personally.
Domain Registration for Companies within the EU
- Admin-C must be from Hungary. If not, trustee service is available.
- A valid VAT ID number of the company is required.
- The legal representative's ID number or passport number is required.
- A copy of the commercial register extract/business license is required.
- The legal form must be included in the company name, e.g., Ltd, GmbH, etc.
- The full first and last name of the legal representative is required. Abbreviations are not allowed.
- Sole proprietorships in some countries do not have a registered name as they belong to an individual. The .HU registry allows the use of a "fantasy name" (e.g., "Max Mustermann - Fantasy Name"). Another option is to register using the owner's first and last name (e.g., "Max Mustermann"). Alternatively, the company name registered in the business license can be used (e.g., "Fantasy Name").
