New Terms and Conditions of Registration applicable for .SE domains

The Internet Infrastructure Foundation, the Registry for .SE domains, will be introducing updated Terms and Conditions of Registration applicable for .SE domains and we therefore give you information about these new conditions of registration.

.SE will be introducing updated conditions of registration (Terms and Conditions of Registration applicable for the top-level domain .se from June 3, 2013) for the purpose of simplifying and clarifying the rules and regulations.

The new Terms and Conditions of Registration contains for example new wording concerning alternative dispute-solution procedures (paragraph 7) as well as a clarification in paragraph 9 concerning the handling of personal data, particularly regarding the consent for publication in whois. In addition, new paragraph giving .SE a right to deactivate and deregister a domain name if the domain holder is a legal entity and this has been dissolved after completed bankruptcy or liquidation, or if the domain holder is a natural person and he/she has deceased. .SE has also removed the special regulation regarding main domains since these no longer are available for new registration. In addition, linguistic adjustments and clarifications have been made.

The new Terms and Conditions of Registration will be in force from June 3, 2013 and will apply to all registered domain names under the .se top-level domain.
